Birkhill is the ideal venue for a relaxed, romantic wedding. The traditional aspects of the castle provide an ideal backdrop for a more formal ceremony and reception other guests prefer the informality of the garden, marrying in the tranquility of the rose garden and celebrating in a marquee. We pride ourselves on being very flexible. Allowing the bride and groom to bring their own champagne (or we can supply it if you wish). The day is your own, the castle is for your exclusive use. You can choose a simple buffet or grand banquet, a luncheon or evening dinner - all up to you.

Bonhams is the only international auctioneer with a saleroom in Scotland located in the heart of Edinburgh's neoclassical New Town. The beautiful salesrooms are now available to hire for your next private or corporate event.
Additionally, during sale times, together with Bonhams, a private view of the items for sale can be arranged for your friends or clients.
Murthly Castle

Murthly Estate lies in the historic heart of Perthshire in Scotland, just a few miles from Dunkeld. A traditional working estate, it is sheltered on the west side by Birnam Hill and overlooks the mighty River Tay.
At the heart of the estate lies Murthly Castle & Chapel, set amongst some of the tallest and oldest trees in Scotland. The castle is still in use as a family home, and is not open to the public. With a drive two miles (3km) long, it offers total privacy for any occasion.
